We are searching for an experienced, reliable and task-oriented Accounting Clerk to assist with daily administrative tasks for the Club's accounting office, and assist all of our members with their accounts, while providing a pleasant and professional atmosphere for all Members, Accounting Department employees and other departments that will interact with the Accounting Department.

Laredo Country Club provides a family oriented social setting devoted to 800 families, promoting exceptional sport, dining, and recreational experiences. With an 18 Hole golf course, driving range, eight tennis courts, a sports court, four banquet halls, a fitness center and three restaurants, Laredo Country Club is "Our Family's Second Home". In line with the club's mission and vision, the club is setting their sights in the future developing a club wide master plan including major upgrades to the club house and golf course.

Position Description

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, professional and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in an active environment. Other responsibilities include:

  • Able to provide accounting and clerical assistance to the Comptroller and the accounting department.
  • Willingness to update job knowledge; become familiar with all the operational requirements of the accounting department.
  • Anticipate needs and wants of managers and members by being prepared and organized while acting with a sense of urgency.
  • Must demonstrate appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Ability to operate computer and other general office equipment.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
  • Foster a positive work environment where respect is always shown towards all members of the club's working family.

Qualifications

Must be able to fully comprehend job assignments, including the ability to read, write and communicate in fluent English and Spanish. The candidate should also possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be well versed in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Other qualifications include:

  • Valid Driver License
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • One to two years of clerical and basic accounting duties.
  • Excellent customer service.
