Laredo Country Club provides a family oriented social setting devoted to 800 families, promoting exceptional sport, dining, and recreational experiences. With an 18 Hole golf course, driving range, eight tennis courts, a sports court, four banquet halls, a fitness center and three restaurants, Laredo Country Club is "Our Family's Second Home". In line with the club's mission and vision, the club is setting their sights in the future developing a club wide master plan including major upgrades to the club house and golf course.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Bartender to provide our members and guests an exceptional cocktail experience. The position is responsible for creating classic and innovative drinks to exceed our members' need and expectations. The Bartender will be required to have some knowledge of all aspects of mixology, prepare, pour and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages together with the Club's Gold Standard of service.

Position Tasks and Duties

Provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for our members and guests. Other responsibilities include:

  • Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
  • Requests additional supplies as necessary and stocks the bar.
  • Follows set-up procedures.
  • Prepares garnishes, fruits mixes and pre-mixed drinks prior to opening bar.
  • Greets members and guests.
  • Mixes, prepares and serves drinks to members and guests and mixes and prepares drinks ordered by food and beverage servers according to approved standard recipes.
  • Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.
  • Ensures that all food items are correctly stored, labeled, dated and rotated to prevent any health or safety hazards from occurring, and takes precautions against possible spoilage.
  • Serves drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a beverage server.
  • Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
  • Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

Must be able to fully comprehend job assignments, including the ability to read, write and communicate in fluent English and Spanish. Other qualifications include:

  • Candidate must be of legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
  • Must have a valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certification
  • Must have a valid Texas Food Handler Certification
  • Valid Driver License or Identification
