The featured speaker, Patricia Cardenas, a seasoned Human Resources leader with over 20 years of experience, excels in areas like employee engagement, organizational culture, talent development, labor relations, succession planning, and recruitment. Her leadership in managing a workforce of 1,500 employees, along with shared oversight of 500 students and medical staff, has been instrumental in cultivating a skilled workforce, boosting engagement, and reducing turnover, earning her organization a Top 3 ranking company-wide in 2023. Recognized for her achievements, Patricia received the national 2023 Non-Clinical Director of the Year award, one of eight winners selected nationwide from hospitals affiliated with Community Health Systems, which includes Laredo Medical Center and 70 other hospitals in 15 states.
